So to celebrate our 1st anniversary Andrew and I went to see Stevie Wonder at the Hollywood Bowl. Because we are very lucky and a friend gave us tickets as a gift we had amazing seats.

We went to Whole Foods and picked up dinner (picnic style.) The Hollywood Bowl encourages attendees to bring a meal or buy one there and have a picnic before the show. In fact the box seats actually have tables that hook to the walls and raise up so that you can eat right there in your seat. It was nice to be able to have a healthy meal of our own choosing. (OK, mostly healthy, as I had German Chocolate Mousse cake for dessert.)

The show was amazing! Stevie Wonder is so talented and puts on a really great show. That said, there is always Murphey's Law. In this case it was "the guy with the big afro will sit in the seat right in front of you." I had the BEST seat, it lined up with Stevie's pianos...well, I did until this guy sat down in front of me. Then all I could see was his fro and the gnats that congregated around it...lovely. Luckily they have tv screens on either side of the stage that I could watch.

After the show we went and hung out in a friend's office to wait out the traffic. (We had valet parking but caos reigns when everyone leaves at the same time.)
Crew Pass
We had to have a crew pass to get backstage.

We stayed at a hotel in LA so that we didn't have to drive home. We stayed at the Sunset Marquis Hotel and it was very nice.

We slept in and went to brunch at the French Quarter West, it was so yummy!

All in all it was an amazing 1st wedding anniversary. I can hardly believe that an entire year has passed since Andrew & I got married. We have been so blessed and I know that every year will just be better and better.
